Some complain that roses have thorns—others rejoice that thorns have roses.
–Ziggy (Tom Wilson)
There are many ways to say the glass is half empty or half full. How one decides to perceive that half a glass or a rose and its thorns (or thorns and their rose) is what makes the difference.
My day is generally half full of half empty folks. They are sick and tired and not able to see the blessing in their lot.
I tend to be half empty by the time I reach home, having spilled out over the course of the day to try to fill up the empty spots in all I see. Home and family fill me back up so I can do it again the next day.
Thank goodness my thorniness produces a rose now and then.
Emily, from what I see, you have LOTS of roses…
A quote from my husband- “It all depends on how you cock your head.”
